About The Events
Lake Hartwell Boating Club, a unit of the United States Power Squadrons®, will be presenting America’s Boating Course from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm at the Anderson County Library, 300 N. McDuffie St., Anderson SC 29621. The course covers these topics:
- Boat Handling
- Docking
- Aids to Navigation
- State & Federal Regulations
- Anchoring
- Trailering Tips
- Rules of the Road
- Emergencies
- PWC Safety
- Knots and Splices
This course is designed to provide basic safety instructions on the operation of boats for skippers, spouses, and family members. The course is taught by experienced boaters and approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by many major insurance carriers as well as the United States Coast Guard. Cost for the first student is $36.50, which covers the price of the course book; other family members sharing the same book may register without charge.
Note: After you make your purchases, there is an information form that must be filled out for each student. You will receive a confirmation email, “Your Lake Hartwell Boating Club℠ order has been received!”. At the bottom of the message, there is a link to download a registration form to be completed and returned by each student.
